With the new RM Easiteach Dance Mat content pack your students will
dance their way to a greater understanding and concept retention in a
whole range of subjects.
The RM Easiteach Dance
Mat works like a keyboard, sending signals to the computer it is
connected to when a student steps on the mat. For instance,students are
instructed to add to one thousand. They are shown the number 454 on an
interactive white board or computer screen and then jump on the numbers
five, four and six (546) on their Dance Mats. Each Dance Mat question
gets progressively more challenging, making Dance Mat activities fun,
fast-paced and highly educational.
The
RM Easiteach Dance Mat Content Pack is compatible with RM Easiteach
v3.2or later versions. You can use it with the whole class, small
groups or single students. Dance Mat activities can be used for lesson
openers, plenaries, review or as a reward activity. They are fun for
anyone, but particularly appropriate for active or kinesthetic
learners. If you don't have access to the dance mat hardware, the
activities can easily be used with a mouse, whiteboard pen, keyboard,

Dance
mats are mats with pressure-sensitive pads that act as switches.
Stepping on a pad sends a signal to the computer, just like pressing a
key on the keyboard. These signals interact with the dance mat
software, rewarding the player for correct choices. The RM Easiteach
Dance Mat is supplied with the software and also comes with a USB
adapter.
