interactive technology. All other wireless tablets being sold today use
“Blue Tooth” technology which was designed for cell phone headsets,
printers, and other short range items, not interactive products. The QIT30’s
unique design solves all those problems by using the same 2.4 GHz RF
technology used by long range wireless networking products. This
advanced QOMO RF technology allows users to have multiples of the QIT30 in the same vicinity without crossover interference. That means you could put up to 30 QIT30 tablets on one computer in one room or have many dozens of rooms with their own QIT30 tablets and no one interferes with anyone else.
Imagine an entire school building outfitted with QOMO QIT30 tablets! None
of the instructors or presenters have to be tethered to the front of
the room or their computer- they are free to move around the room to
work with the students. The other major shortcoming of “Blue Tooth”
is ease of use. All Windows/MAC environments require special “Blue
Tooth” device drivers to connect to the tablets and linking a second or
third tablet is nearly impossible. With the QOMO QIT30, the operating system (MAC or PC) see the tablet as nothing more than a wireless mouse, not a “Blue Tooth” device. This is a key difference and the strength of the QIT30.
The QOMO QIT30 includes our powerful Flow!Works software for annotation and manipulation of any electronic file type or program. Think of the work area of Flow! software as an empty picture frame. Any element you wish, for example: web based materials, a Power PointTM
presentation, spreadsheets, documents, photos, curriculum materials, or
anything else you can imagine can be placed in the “Frame”. Once these
elements are in Flow!, you are free to manipulate them and
annotate over them in any way you wish and the software will
automatically save your work as you go along. At the end of the period
or session you can export all of your work into a Power PointTM file, an AdobeTM PDF document or as HTML. Flow!Works software is only limited by the user's imagination.
Even when you are not using the QOMO Flow!Works software, the QIT30
tablet can be used as a wireless mouse in any software application on
your computer. It also can be used to enable the handwriting
recognition functions that are a part of MACTM OSX or Windows XPTM or VistaTM.
In addition to annotation and manipulation, the QIT30 is design to be an integral part of the QOMO Interactive Classroom Solution. This
is our corporate vision for designing and integrating all of our
products so that they work together to create a powerful
technology-enabled classroom environment. If a QOMO document camera is connected to the computer along with the QIT30, then the presenter can capture and annotate over the subject matter being displayed by the doc cam.
